HP-UNIX Administrator Core Skills Required: Required Experience: • 4+ years of Unix administration experience, . 4+ Unix Networking Administration • Very Good Unix shell scripting skills (I.e. ksh, bash,csh) . Very Good on :DNS,LDAP,SNMP,SMTP,sendmail,proxies,apache Desired Skills: Network skills: • Knowledge of OSI networking model • Knowledge of TCP networking model Understanding of relational databases: • Oracle Experience with UNIX Operating Systems: • HPUX 11.11 HPUX 11.23 . SUN Solaris 9 and above . Linux Storage Skills: . Knowledge of SAN ( Storage Area Network) . Experience with brocade switches . EMC Storage Box . Volume Group Manager of Unix . Work on Backup and recovery tools Scripting Languages: • Shell scripting . if possible PERL scripting . if possible Java scripting Main Function: The Administrator will be responsible for . administrating the HP Platform servers like HP Superdome, rp84xx, etc . administrating the SAN infrastructure . troubleshooting skills Duties & Responsibilities: The person will be responsible for the following: • Maintenance of the HPUX platform • Installation and configuration of Unix application (apache,tomcat, websphear, weblogic,,,etc) • Scripting and customization of the UNIX administration tools • Implement solutions by writing new scripts. . Maintain LDAP,DNS,SNMP,SMTP,NTP,proxies on HPUX/UNIX Experience: . Total 5+ years of Unix administration. Qualification: . BS in Computer Science or Equivalent work experience
