| C4I Wireless Communications Engineer Project Overview: Abacus Technology is in need of a Wireless Communication Engineer to provide development, installation, deployment, operations, maintenance for C4I systems. This is a full-time position supporting the US Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force. Special transportation, housing, travel, and education benefits and incentive awards are available. Major Duties & Responsibilities: Actively advise and assist on all projects and tasks related to radio communication systems. Provide support and advice to the RSAF for maintaining microwave radio systems. Participate in modification and enhancement proposals and upgrades to the microwave radio systems. Perform system maintenance as necessary. Continuously monitor all RSAF training programs and provide recommendations for improvements. Train RSAF Engineering and Warrant Officers in practical and theory. Qualification: 10+ years experience in microwave radio communication systems. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Specialized training in microwave radio equipment and operation. Extensive experience with wireless radios including knowledge of HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF communications. Experience and understanding with the following: ATM; IP; Ethernet; TCP/IP; crypto; IPSec; multiplexing and terminal equipment; Land Mobile Radios (LMR); multi-channel Tape Recorders and Pager Equipment; microwave radio operations and maintenance; SATCOM uplink and downlink; RF; VRCS; DAMA; NCS; modems; Antenna Tracking systems; Main Distribution Frames; IDF; Voice Conditioning equipment; High Power Amplifiers (HPAs); LNAs; up-converters; and down-converters. Must have experience supporting military wireless communication systems. Able to perform problem analysis and site surveys.
