- Must be graduated from an approved medical school and have 1 year of internship.
- Valid license to practice medicine and certification by the American Board of Radiology or possession of the FRCR (Canadian) in Diagnostic Radiology or the English equivalent.
- 7 years specialized training or 4 years experience as a practicing Radiologist.
- Ability to communicate in English on a professional basis.



AL-KHAFJI JOINT OPERATIONS HOSPITAL, SAUDI ARABIA
The hospital primarily serves Aramco Gulf Operations and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company joint operations employees and dependants. Additionally it provides healthcare services for government employees and Ministry of Health referrals, including local Saudi and Kuwaiti patients. The first patients were admitted in 1996. Saudi Medicare Company, the parent company for United Medical, has a contract to operate the hospital for five years from January 2004.
Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) Hospital comprises:
• 112 beds, four wards.
• 10 bed ICU and a 6 bed NICU.
• In addition to Primary Care a full range of secondary care services are provided, including General Surgery, Surgical Subspecialties, Internal Medicine, ER, ICU, NICU, O&G, Paediatrics and Dental. Clinicians work in a structured medical management environment.
Statistics include:
• 7,000 Inpatient Admissions per annum
• 280,000 Outpatient Attendances per annum, including the Emergency Department
• 90 Medical Staff
• 190 Nursing Staff
• 250 Paramedical and Support Personnel
Current strategic projects include construction of a stand alone Primary Care Centre, a major upgrade of the Hospital Management Information System and installation of MRI. The hospital has embarked on gaining ISO 9001:2000 certification, plus certification as a Saudi Heart Association training provider. More recently, the ICU capacity has been doubled, as has the ICU’s capacity to manage admissions as a result of a disaster.
