Our Client is a leading, 4,000-employee strong, conglomerate that has successfully operated since the mid-1950s in Saudi Arabia’s governmental, industrial and consumer sectors. They are ranked among the largest firms in Saudi Arabia. The company is comprised of twenty-three different divisions, joint ventures and standalone companies. The group offers a wide range of products and services, including engineering and contracting, marine services, port management, automation and control, manufacturing, transport & logistics and telecom products.

Our Client urgently requires a SALES & MARKETING MANAGER to develop existing an new markets for the product of the Chemical Division. The role is considered particularly suitable to Palestinian or Lebanese nationals aged between 40 and 50 years.

The job will be based in DAMMAM, SAUDI ARABIA, just an hour drive across the causeway to the ever progressive BAHRAIN, however regular travel to customers through Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East is required.


DUTIES

The focus will be on developing new and existing markets for the Chemical Division's products, including Paints, PVC, Putties, Roof & Water Resistant Coatings, Adhesives, Grouts, and other products reaching the Oil & Gas and Construction markets, primarily in Saudi Arabia but not blind to other opportunities in the wider Middle East and beyond.
Devise and implement sales strategies, special promotions and sales forecasts.
Responsible for product launches, product development, distribution, pricing and discounting policies.
Provide customers with high quality technical advice regarding products and services.
Maximise profitable orders and sales in the given market segments.
Maintain ongoing contracts to achieve agreed sales targets.
Negotiate contracts with partners and customers.
Prepare quarterly and yearly budgets for the Chemical Division, and maintain effective control of expenses.
Prepare reports on sales performance, market analysis, competitors, market trends.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

A minimum 10 years of experience in the sales & marketing of products to the Oil & Gas and/or Construction industries. Specific experience with the products mentioned above will be favorably considered.
Must be fluent in English and Arabic - conversationally and written.
Character traits being sought include strong and aggressive, confrontational, a decision maker, creative, and visionary.
Strong communication, presentation, and follow up skills.
Willingness to get hands dirty and get involved with all aspects of the job, ie. a do-er, not someone who just dishes out orders.
Willingness to travel to where the customers are, which will include throughout Saudi but potentially lots of Middle East travel.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Experience in Sales & Marketing in the Saudi Arabian market.
Experience in Sales & Marketing in a multinational company.
A Chemical related Bachelor's degree will be considered favorably.
Already Saudi based,
Lebanese or Palestinian national.
