Responsibilities: Individuals in this position will perform the following activities:

ACCOUNTING
• Set up a stand alone accounting system, and design the structure for an efficient cost accounting follow-up (cost centers &projects),
• Ensure the corporate reporting system reflects the
• Define the overall company accounting processes (travel expenses, general invoices approval, capital expenditures, bank, etc.) and provide continuous tracking of same; routinely communicate status to local team.
• Serve as primary contact person for third parties related to the finance area (i.e bank, tax authorities, audit, etc.)

CONTROLLING
• In close relation with the team members, ensure all corporate forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) are accurate and meet deadlines
• Create processes, procedures, and standards for consistent and thorough project cost accounting and work with subcontractors to ensure they are followed.
• Develop an overall financial management plan for tracking costs associated with the program. In so doing, create a master budget and master chart of accounts that helps to align the expense reporting of the subcontractors.
• Work with subcontractors to conduct regular status reviews of financial performance, and use results for regular updates to the program budget.
• Assist as necessary with other areas of executing the program management office such as conducting risk analyses, bid price analysis,contributing to quality assurance reviews, and negotiating subcontractor agreements.
• This position reports to the Program Director.

Qualifications: Individuals in this position will need to have experience that includes:

• Experience of 5-7 years in accounting & financial management
• Strong personal integrity and commitment to ethical behavior.
• Experience serving in role of cost accountant on programs that involve the coordination and tracking of expenses for a multitude of subcontractors.
• Fluent in English; ability to speak, read, and write in Arabic would be beneficial.
