Corrosion Engineer ( tanks) Main Responsibilities 1. Performs corrosion and metallurgical inspection to of facilities and studies fracture corrosive action and other problems of deterioration determines and corrective measures for the protection of production loading refinery and utility facilities. prepares scope of work specifications. drawing and technical aspects related to corrosion, construction and maintenance of tank of tender documents for design engineering construction and modification of facilities including preparing explanation to governments for approval of the tender. 2. Check and evaluates specifications, drawings and technical part of tender documents submitted by the contractor or supplier for design engineering construction and modification of facilities , supervises and inspects contractors work in engineering and in the construction and modification of tank to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contract and company and international standards installs and maintains the corrosion monitoring system 3. Consult with other engineers concerned for stogies and solving problems related to corrosion protection engineering , tank construction and maintenance prepares and controls the budget for all projects in the tank maintenance and corrosion control section. 4. studies new technology and applications of corrosion protection engineering related to oil handling facilities, and collects data for new projects. consults with the specialist in the department regarding highly technical modifications or installations .Ensures the implementation of safety rules and procedures and safe work practices both at sites and workshop. 4. Participates in various meeting with supervisors of the department to discuss the status of construction and modification of the oil production facilities, to establish priority procedures for the corrosion protection. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. B.Sc in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy. 2. Certificate of NACE (National Association & Corrosion Engineers) area Specialist or equivalent.
