| Specialist, Instrument GENERAL SUMMERY Assists Supervisor on technical matters and trouble-shoots technical problems of equipment, facilities under his discipline for the Khafji crude production. Coordinates with others in the Department on the routine maintenance or scheduled overall programs of all mechanical systems. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Examines abnormalities and malfunctions in KJO production systems and facilities under his discipline. Recommend solutions to Supervisor and develops plans for improvement. 2. coordinated the preparation of routine maintenance or scheduled maintenance work and establishes program and budget for such activities. 3. Establishes, revises and updates general standards for routine maintenance work such as trouble shooting, repair and adjustments for systems, equipments and facilities as requested by Supervisor. 4. Studies, develops and recommends methods and procedures for the improvement of safe and efficient operation, preventive maintenance and trouble shooting as requested by Supervisor. 5. Studies, inspects and carries out complex trouble shooting, repair and adjustments of equipment and facilities as requested by Supervisor. 6. Studies and recommends a new technology and its application to KJO on maintenance systems and facilities. 7. Prepares, revises and update instruction material for use in job site training as requested by Supervisor. 8. Conducts failure analysis for all instrument equipments of KJO facilities. INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATIONS Performs his duties to professional technical standards. Work assigned is subject to review and direction. PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORK INVIRONMENT Spends 50% of time walking and standing, with some use of lightweight tools and test equipment.50% of time is spent in a none air-conditioned plant environment, exposed to heat, humidity, noise and fumes. MINIMUM REQIREMENTS A. B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. B. 15 years maintenance experience in the Mechanical Engineering field including some supervisory experience. C. Very good knowledge in English. D. PC literate wit Word, Excel and PowerPoint. | |
