Mechanical Engineer, Offshore Routine Maintenance

GENERAL SUMMERY
Inspects, advises and coordinates installation, repair and maintenance work associated with oil productions facilities. Studies, analyzes and plans work schedules for these facilities. Compiles and submits concerned reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Studies and analyzes information about installations, repair and maintenance work in coordination with his superior. Plans installation, repair and maintenance schedule for concerned work.
2. Prepares concerned project specifications, drawings and technical data for the above facilities.
3. Conducts market surveys to determine availability and pricing of latest technology and equipment.
4. Studies, reviews and checks specifications, drawings and terms of tender documents submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and technical data for concerned work.
5. Inspects and supervises contractor’s work on overhaul maintenance activities to insure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
6. Reviews, checks and compiles daily reports prepared by contractors and/or assigned engineers on concerned work progress. Prepares the reports on the work progress, manpower and equipment for his superior.
7. Prepares and/or collects the final work report and distributes to concerned departments after chief’s engineers approval.
8. Attends start-up and test runs of concerned units and coordinates with the operational maintenance group concerned and contractor regarding any overhaul work problems.
9. Revises drawings or related reference and specifications about system modification and equipment changes when required. Maintains all catalogues, drawings and related references for his assigned equipment.

INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATIONS
Performs his duties to professional technical standards. Work assigned is subject to review and direction.

PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORK INVIRONMENT
Spends 30%f time in air-conditioned office environment. 30% time is spent in a non air-conditioned plant environment, exposed to heat, humidity, noise and hazardous.

MINIMUM REQIREMENTS
A. B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
B. 6-8 years experience in installation and maintenance associated with the Offshore production facilities and systems.
C. Very good knowledge in English.
D. PC literate with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
